Inside Buy More

While I was stocking and on the register today I had a lady stop and ask me about Gamecube controllers and the Wii. She held in her hand one of our Gamecube controllers and asked me "Can this controller work for the Wii? The guy at Wal-Mart earlier said that Gamecube controllers don't work with the Wii, said I'd have to buy one that was compatible." I looked her dead in the face and said "ma'am he doesn't know what he is talking about!" I then explained to her the compatibility the Wii has with it's predecessor the Gamecube. She was pleased with the information I gave her. Though she will be using her old controllers for the Wii and I didn't sell the controller. I did gain some credibility for a sell later on in the future. Maybe Big Mike will go easy on me for letting that one slide.

I still haven't gotten my official name badge yet! I've been working at Buy More for over a year now :(.

Today a customer walked up to me and asked which game system was best out of the Wii, Xbox 360 and the PS3. I asked him what size tv he had. He told me a 26 inch standard television. My mouth hit the floor and I told them they all sucked on a tv that small and that he should just look into getting an HDTV then wait until 2010 to buy the next generation gaming system.
